My Little Makes is at the beach this week and so our Nature Make has been inspired by all things seaside!
This is such a lovely activity that can be done using shells, pebbles or other small nature finds. Simply draw and paint onto each one. We used watercolour paint, washable felt tip pens and paint sticks (we love Little Brian).
The texture and tiny scale of these objects makes for an interesting alternative to big pieces of paper. Great for those fine motor skills!
This was such a lovely activity to work on with Ava. It didn't make much mess and as such, it was perfect to do in our holiday apartment. I'm going to try and drill holes in the shells so we can string them and make necklaces.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN PICKING AND HANDLING UNKNOWN NATURAL MATERIALS. SUPERVISE CHILDREN TO ENSURE NOTHING IS EATEN AND WASH YOUR HANDS WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED.
